Well remember the exciting news I spoke of last week … well it’s here … and obviously IT’S A NEW BLOG! I’ve been working on this sucker for weeks (ok maybe months!) so it’s pretty amazing to see it up and running … finally! Welcome to the new Madison Ave Photography blog! It was time to say good bye to my good ole typepad blog and move over to some bigger real estate … some great pluses about my new blog are fun things like the new custom design, the search features and the best part, BIGGER images … oh how I love to see my images bigger and since I’ve got a fatty monitor at home it’s even better then you can imagine! In the next week I will be updating my blog quite regularly so when you have time check back! For now on www.madisonavephotography.com/blog will be the new address to Pearblossom (Pear Blossom LOL) so please book mark it! Because no post is fun without pictures ….
Thanks for stopping by! ~Shannon

Yep it’s here … in case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard of the oh so entertaining and talented Denise then check out her blog (it’s a fun blog!) Matilda Jane is such an exciting brand for young girls (or big girls!) it mixes funk, flair and fashion. I was so lucky to work with one of my favorite models for this shoot, Xena is so beautiful and she and Madison compliment each other so well
Love this girl

I’ve been saving these pictures just for my brand new spankin blog! Madison and I have the luxury of spending a lot of time together, it’s definitely one of the perks of working from home and being your own boss! Usually about once a week we go out and do something photography related, check out new locations, play with lighting set ups, or just play it by ear and have fun. This shoot was based around one top … a top that was by far to big for Madison (her cousins!) but she loved it so we turned it into a dress for the day and grabbed some boots, I wanted to try out a new location I had been eyeing so we headed on over. Half way through the shoot Madison FELL into a stream of dirty water … gross I know!! She was so upset, poor thing she just darted into the water with not a care in the world and then bam she fell face first, needless to say she was crying and so on … instead of ending the shoot with her upset I got her to calm down and convinced her to go hog wild in a huge puddle of water … heck she was already soaking wet so why not! Thankfully I had a huge bag of clothes to donate in the back of my car!
