Thanks girls for a really fun time, I will be sharing the colorful side of this session soon!

Baby Emi Jewels

'); ?>I have a new project in the works, I’m photographing a really great line of jewelry by Baby Emi Jewelry. All the pieces are gorgeous, I love the little jingle bells anklet … the kids sound do adorable when they run by you!
I met up with Jaki and had a fun filled (wild) time shooting
I think this piece says it all
we decided to have some fun afterwards … I doubt asking a pregnant women to jump up and down on the bed is a good idea

but her boys loved the idea
Thanks Jaki for being such an amazing trooper throughout the shoot, you worked your tail off girlie!

for all my sewing friends

'); ?>So Madison and I decided to do a little arts and crafts last week and make pajamas for her bunny. We went to the fabric store, Madison picked out this scary cupcake print (she had to have!) so of course I let her (even though I was secretly trying to convince her into a retro Strawberry Shortcake print). We hand drew the “pattern” onto the inside of the fabric, we busted out my hot glue gun (not all of us are crafty with the needle and thread) and began glueing our dress seam together and we were pretty proud of ourselves
until we turned her around and noticed this
I knew you girls would love that … I should get an A for effort

Retro Pink

'); ?>I had soooooooooo much fun at this shoot, I can’t say enough about just how darn cute little Hailey is! The last time I saw her she was a sweet little baby, now she’s full fledged girl … sitting up all on her own and looking so dang angelic. My favorite age to photography babies is 6-8 months, it is the ultimate age and always delivers the most amazing shots! Hailey’s mom is always such a trooper and so easy going, she met me at a very random location (no address provided type thing) and brought all her clothes up our little “hike”. I just got the cutest little retro pink radio flyer and I knew it would be perfect for this shoot!

'); ?>So this week I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful family who were visiting from TN, they were staying at the Grand Californian so I traveled down there and did a little photo shoot. All three of the kids were sweeties, each with very fun and different personalities. Mandy and I have known each other through ebay for quite some time and it was really awesome to have her ask me to come down, I was very honored to visit with them … next time I’ll bring Mads and we’ll make it a social event!

Pretty in Yellow

'); ?>So last week I had this grand idea to do a mini shoot with Madison and our faithful Pug Bailey … when Anthony was 4 we did a shoot with Bailey and I wanted something similar since Madison is now 4. It started off pretty bad! Bailey is so naughty sometimes, once we got to the location he jumped out of the car and started running down the street … of course a security truck has to come so now I’m obligated to chase the little beast. All this while Madison is teetering on the edge of the sidewalk yelling at me and me yelling back at her to STAY! It was so annoying, the second we got back to the car I locked him in and went on with my shoot … and happily so! I got a new chair for $2.50 … I love a deal!

Miranda and Brendon

'); ?>I was so honored to be apart of such a wonderful event this weekend, Miranda and Brendon tied the knot at a gorgeous seaside home in Carpinteria … they were joined by the people closest to them and it was a heart felt day filled with many tears and lots of laughs!
Brendon and Miranda had their beautiful baby girl with them to help celebrate the day!
Miranda’s mom working vigorously on her back corset
This was the first glimpse of Miranda at the beginning of the ceremony
During the ceremony the sun was playing hide and go seek, there was 40% chance of showers and thankfully not a sprinkle dropped during the wedding!
The kiss!
look who was at the wedding … sweet little Ry
I didn’t have an official assistant for this wedding but I did score a helpful little sister who happened to love photography … check her out with her camera around her neck! She was so excited to shoot Brendon and Miranda … what a great little sis!
While at the wedding I was admiring all the family pictures that were displayed around the house, I was loving the 70’s era images, the tones and the feel is so awesome … so I was inspired!
Thanks guys for letting me be apart of such a special day!
