Well it was inevitable … I’m behind on blogging!   I was doing so well too, it’s just busy around here and I haven’t had as much time to sit down and actually do anything but emails and editing.  I have tons of stuff to post … so this week is going to be action packed and I’m going to jump on my goal of posting daily (if not every other day at least).

I had such a great session with Tiffany and her family, so much to share from the shoot!  I loved the outfits she choose, the black and white was so perfect with the bright yellow flowers and such an awesome contrast!

I had the best session this week, I met up with Tiffany and her awesome family to do a little photo session.  She has been blessed with three amazing children (triplets!) all of whom have such special personalities and unique features!  I have so much more to share from this session but as a sneak I’m posting one image of each of the kids and a bonus image!

iphone

so I have to admit, I’m not crazy about my iphone camera.  I do love having a camera on hand at all times.  I use it a lot to take pictures of locations I see on my travels, random photos of us eating (I could create a book of restaurant photos!) and my kids love to use it to snap pictures of each other.

During our hike this weekend I tried to capture the city but instead got a really nice shot of the mountain ridge and sun setting … plus I snatched one of Joe being “beamed” by the sunset … all with my iphone, kinda beats dragging the big ole 5D for sure!

Sometime ago I shot some promotional images for an artist who is based in Texas, he was working on his album in LA and decided to squeeze in a shoot while in town.  I had so much fun and Gabe was awesome, what a great guy he is!!

I just got a sweet little package today in the mail and I had to share with you all!  His CD is complete and it looks incredible, the entire layout is pretty hot and the music is awesome … Gabe is such a talented musician!

You have to check out his website, you will not be disappointed!!  I already listened to the CD on our way to dinner and the entire family loved it. GABRIELSONG.COM

I even got a credit on the album which made me feel SO honored!   Congrats Gabe on an amazing album and cheers to continued success, you totally deserve it!

My Irish Girl

I just saw that Madison is featured in the current edition of Kids Trend Weekly, it’s crazy to think about how old she is getting.  If only I could make time stop and make these amazing years go so much slower!

So I’m super bummed today.  Last week I had my mac cinema monitor crash, which completely sucked!!  I had to take it in to apple and they sent it out for repairs, I’m still waiting for it.  In the meantime I’m working off my old crappy dell monitor and it’s not calibrated so the colors are way off … which means that I’m not editing much right now.  I know I could calibrate it but I’m too lazy, I just keep thinking that my monitor will arrive any day from repair land!

I was just going through some past images and I stumbled upon Caeden’s Birthday Party, and I never shared this  happy event!  I’ve been trying to update my Blurb book for 2008 every month, so this way I don’t have an entire year of family stuff to add to my album.  I’m so behind on editing my own personal work, half the time I don’t even edit the pictures for my personal albums and just throw everything in … heck it’s all about memories anyway!

I’ve probably owed Jenn these images for far too long (I’m getting you a CD girl!) but in the mean time here is a little sneak at Caeden’s one year birthday party!

Sleepy time

Both my children have never liked taking naps, which I can’t really understand since a nap is the single best thing during the day!  If I could take a nap every singe day I would be a happy girl, like really happy.  Madison cringes at the word nap, so at school when they have naptime she usually just lies on her mat with her blankey and passes time while all the other kids are in dream land.  Because she has been staying awake consistently for the last 3 weeks we decided to move her over the the non nappers group and OMG what a change it has made.   Before she used to resist going to school because of naptime.

Since changing her over to the non nappers group she has been so excited about going to school and always mentions to me how she doesn’t have to take a nap.  Who knew a simple change in the schedule would pump up her mood so much, I kinda feel bad making her endure the 3 weeks of lying on the mat!  LOL

got lucky

So this weekend I got so super lucky and landed the best little model ever!  I had a jacket and a shirt that had previously been modeled on Mads, it just didn’t look right … Madison has a really small frame and as Denise so correctly pointed out … a jacket is for layering, so it will fit boxy and big so it can layer over other pieces … especially for all you east coasters!  But keep in mind we’re in LA and the weather is so freakin hot all the time, so I hadn’t even thought of that part when thinking of how a jacket should fit, it really makes perfect sense!

Rebecca was the perfect answer to my dilemma and completely rocked the jacket and shirt!

So this little blue top is such a great piece, the sleeves are super cool and the fit is awesome!  I loved it when Denise mentioned she actually cut a size 12 up in the neckline and arms so she could wear it! _mg_2911c.jpg

Little blue eyes

I had the chance to this past weekend to photography little Vinni again, he’s got the most amazing eyes ever (especially for a little boy!)  … I love his big blue eyes with his chunky eye lashes, especially against his dark brown hair.

He is sporting the last of the Tiny Sprouts Spring Collection
