When I pulled these two pieces out of the shipping box my face lit up, it’s exactly what I talked about in my last post … Sheila of Baby Go Retro just knows how to take the best fabrics and blend them together to create such amazing lines! These are every day pieces that Madison wants to live in, the long flowy skirt with a pocket band wrap that she can tuck her sweet little fingers into hoping to find little hidden treasures … or a place to stash tiny flowers she picks from every store front (even though I tell her every time to LEAVE them alone!).
These two pieces were really fun to shoot, I had this perfect location in mind and of course it was somewhere sooooo random and we had to hop past traffic with the kids, camera, jackets and shoes … all during rush hour! Not to mention that the destination was between a freeway entrance and a freeway :)
Thanks Meggin for not turning around when I showed you the location (even if you were thinking it!) LOL

Jen of Eden’s Bouquet has the most exquisite clothes and style … this girl has amazing taste just oozing out of her body
and I’m not kidding LOL Her new collections coming out are amazing … you have to check them out!!
So Madison’s hair is at the funkiest stage, we’re in the middle of growing out her bangs (the ones she chopped off in October) and we are also letting her bob grow out … it’s all kinda messy, shaggy in fact and everyday seems like one weird hair day after another! Today I put her hair in the cutest pig tails and OMG she looked so cute … I think we’re getting past the hump!

I had the opportunity to recently work with Sheila from Baby Go Retro … her clothes are the best and she has such an amazing eye for picking the perfect fabrics!! Sheila and I have been friends for many years. I have been enjoying her clothes since Madison was still in my little ole tummy. We have many pieces of hers and they have always been favs of Madison’s, and they last forever!
Vinni doing what he does best … looking insanely cute!
I’m super stoked to share the rest of the pieces … check back this week or go browse the Baby Go Retro website!

Ya for new photos!!! I love when I get to post new work, especially when it’s as lovely and sweet as my little model … around our house we like to call her Mini Me Ramiele from American Idol … seriously she looks so much like her and has the same mouth characteristics! It’s hard to explain but on American Idol Ramiele had a certain shyness about her and it was really focused around her lips and the way she puckered them while smiling and talking … well Xena has it too!
Here she is doing an amazing job modeling some super cool new threads from Matilda Jane!
Everybody deserves a little treat after hard work

On a recent shoot for Matilda Jane our favorite English Bulldog Penelope got in on the fun and boy did she give us a run for our money! She is so strong, she about pulled me down the street when my friend Michelle (her owner) left us! Some shots of Rebecca frolicking around in her matilda jane knot dress accompanied by Penelope. These two together make a duo team!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing two really sweet and kind people this weekend, Dharinne and Walt are getting hitched in May and Kristin and I will be covering the event … we are both so exctied and we’re looking forward to thier big day!
Dharinne and Walt picked a location that they have spent many summers at, this park was a fun place to be … we just had to avoid the frisbee’s bring thrown everywhere. I’ve never seen Golf Frisbee (or is it Frisbee Golf?) I guess it’s a big hit and I just never really new about it! You can tell I’m a sports enthusiast can’t you??? LOL

just got the new catalog from Matilda Jane (which she did herself!) and it looks awesome … and if you know Denise you know she’s so hard on herself, that’s why I had to show off this little bad boy!
Ok I didn’t get any inside shots (just realizing how cool that would have been) but I did snap some pictures of the outside and a picture of her super fabulous card she sent me. I realize I’m soooooooooo bias her being that Mads and Ry are both on the card, however I have to say that the card rocks!

Madison has gotten really into drawing, painting and writing. It is really cool to see her being so creative, Anthony is so much more of a sports enthusiast and he really doesn’t enjoy very many fine art activities … when I grew up I drew constantly, wrote in cursive for an entire summer just so I could practice and be better, I have always loved working with in the fine arts area so it’s really exciting to see Madison blossoming into a little artist. She has painted some really great stuff, created pictures of her family trips and insisted on learning to spell all her friends names.
This recent picture really took the cake though … slowly over the year she has improved her people drawing by a million … it started off with a head and eyes, then legs and arms, then a body, followed by eyebrows, ears and similar hair to her subject … but then last week she was drawing in front of Joe and I and out of no where she started giggling insanely and had the most peculiar look on her face, she turned the picture around and blurted out “Mommy has b**bies” (you’ll get it, look down!) LOL
Then she points to Joe and says she also drew some chest area for him too, all three of us were just wailing in laughter over the picture … I didn’t even let her finish it because I wanted to remember it for that exact moment. Kids are seriously the best!!
