Pear Blossom

here’s my local street kid, I pulled him in for a quick photo shoot … literally told him to follow me, throw on the hat and start having some fun … he is seriously the cutest thing ever and I’d add him to my family if I could!          

Ok so I have zero time to talk, I’m totally behind because of my super long weekend (which I milked like crazy!) I have a ton of things to catch up on at home … but … I couldn’t leave my blog so absent, even if the last thing I should be doing is blogging!  LOL 

Anthony recently got his room wall color re-painted and with there being little furniture in his room I wanted to do a little mini shoot … actually I did a couple (more to come later) but at the end of Evan’s shoot I had Madison jump in for some fun, playful images.   These two have been the best of friends for the last two years, it’s so sad to say good bye to Evan and his family as they move back to Colorado.   They will be missed so much, I have no idea what Madison is going to do without Evan to play with all the time … it’s amazing when you have a neighbor that you can trust so much, our kids would literally run from each others house all throughout the day, eating, playing and yes fighting together … we are very lucky to have had them in our lives!           

This sweet little family is for some fun, a 2 year old and twin babies … a boy and a girl … how perfect is that!?!   Kelly assisted me on this shoot which was awesome because not only does she make a great partner in crime but she also makes for a great baby holder, an awesome bubble blower and she also dabbles in sing a longs!   Whew … thanks Kelly!

The fam and myself are in Big Bear this week, sucking up some rays, doing a little fishing/hiking and hitting the local bowling alley … have I told you guys how much we love to bowl?  I totally suck, like really badly …. Madison even beats me but I still keeping going back!     

This past weekend I had a super fun Sunday afternoon with Brandon and his mom.  We met at the park Brandon has been going to since he was just a wee little sprout, he climbed trees, jumped from trees and showed me his scooter skills.  After the park we found ourselves at the Fair Oaks Soda Fountain, I’m not sure what could be better then ice cream soda floats, banana splits and the company of a wonderful mom … Brandon is very lucky!       Brandon landing from a jump above               

I’ve been waiting patiently for awhile to photograph this little beauty!  She is so sweet and was such a super star during the session, even breaking a couple of sweet smiles out for me.  Without further ado here is Peaches …   

I bought Madison this tiny dolls bed … it started off this awful gold color (so gross!) so then we picked up a light tiffany blue and painted it, after one pair of ruined jeans and speckles all over our porch we finally had enough paint on the crib to cover up the gross gold … I’ll share a picture of it in color soon but in the meantime here it is in BW 

Alright so I’m back on the band wagon for keeping up with my blog, over the next three days I’ve got tons to share … then next week I will be launching my new website … so lots of work this week for me :) First up is an awesome family I’ve known for quite some time, our kids have gone to the same school over the last couple of years and I’ve also had the pleasure of photography Keeley for modeling projects.

Remember when I told you about how gorgeous her mom was (well the entire family for that matter) well now you have proof of how beautiful she is (inside and out!) …  

We had some amazing shots of just Valerie and her husband … a nice intimate session with the two!

My website is currently “under construction” and will not be up for at least a week, I’ve got some glitches with a server and I’m in the middle of replacing the site with a new one … so as they say “STAY TUNED” :) 

I have had some awesome sessions that I’ll be blogging about this week …  

I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie for her senior pictures, she was a total blast to work with and we had lots of laughs … usually me making a fool of myself showing her poses but in any case we had lots of laughs, even if they were on me!  

On a total side note, I got an email from a friend about a new photography mentor website … I thought a lot of you might find it really informative and helpful.  It is run by some really great photographers, if you have a chance take time to browse the site (make you see some of the sample tutorial videos!)

Ever since switching to wordpress as my blog provider I have been overwhelmed with spam comments, I get about 30 a day.  Between yesterday and today I had a whopping 161 comments … all spam thank you very much!  It’s so annoying, I have no idea how to make it go away … any ideas?
