Pear Blossom

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  My family and myself had such a terrific week, we celebrated with friends and family over wonderful family traditions.  The kids had such an amazing time and were both smiling from ear to ear the entire time.  I am so thankful for everything we have, the friends and the family that we are so blessed to have … we’re one lucky bunch!   

I feel very fortunate to have made it through the holiday week in perfect health, unfortunately I came down with a nasty cold this weekend that has carried on until today.  I was so sick I literally could not get on the computer, no email and phone calls and to do lists all went unanswered.  Today was the first day I was able to do small tasks, my energy level was so low while I was sick.  I’m excited to be feeling better and looking forward to tomorrow! I have so many photos to still share from my Dragonflies and Ladybugs shoot … here is a small portion from my cakewalk shoot  

Can you believe it’s finally here?  My kids are so unbelievably excited, I kinda feel like they are bouncing off the wall … the freezing cold weather doesn’t help any bit, if they could get outside and run around we all might be better off.   I’ve got a day filled with lots of yummy projects, we will be assembling our gingerbread house, baking cookies, making fudge and getting ready for dinner.

I am excited to be featured as the editors pick for both Tot Trends Weekly and Kids Trends Weekly this week!  What an honor, like an early Christmas present  I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again … my models are so dang yummy and delightful. 

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves this week, we are!!  We had a terrific weekend, some great family time and lots of insanely yummy food!  I’m lacking on sleep at this point and wishing I could nap today … wouldn’t a nap everyday be amazing?  I guess a girl can dream :)       

Ok I’m addicted … you’re so tired of them you cannot believe I’d actually use them again!  But with those cute cheeks and the super mod bangs I had to give it a shot … had too

I proclaimed to Joe this weekend “it’s time for a Clover post on the blog” which turned into a mini photo session with glasses and all.  She really looks like we are torturing her, but really it’s just with love.  You should have heard us going crazy over her, she did look cute for the 2 seconds that they stayed on her face.  Clover is doing terrific, she’s so dang cute, especially when she cradles in your arm and falls asleep.  She’s got a couple new nicknames, we love to call her Cloverfield, Clover baby and per Madison her most notable nickname is Miss Lickers … she will kiss you non stop if you let her.

I’m loving the new Room Seven Spring 09 line, Madison went crazy over it!  I have to say, Madison was amazing during this shoot.  You never really know how she’ll during modeling, sometimes she’s wonderful and other times she can be a bit difficult.  Well this was an exceptional day, I ran to the phone when we got in the car to call Joe and just brag about how easy and effortless this shoot was, how Madison was completely in her element and all I had to do was photograph her and all her cute little adorableness … I love moments like that!  These pictures (among thousands of others) will be treasured for a lifetime, someday when she’s a grown women I’ll look back at these images and remember the dancing, the beauty, the smile (gosh that smile!) and I’ll remember the serenade of her voice. She’s a special little girl.

Isn’t she just the cutest thing ever?!?! 

I am so behind on blogging!  I’ve been under the weather the last two days, I’m finally feeling normal which is awesome because I have loads of work to get done.  Why do the holidays always make you feel rushed and overwhelmed, I keep telling myself it’s all mental, I just need to slow down and enjoy this amazing time of the year.  I need to play catch up and get some things done, so I can then sit back and enjoy my time with family.  I have done ZERO holiday shopping, not one thing has been bought … can you imagine that!  My gift recipient list keeps getting smaller and smaller the longer I wait LOL   

One of the fun things I’ve been up to has been photographing several clothing lines for the boutique Dragonflies and Ladybugs.  You know I love clothes, and these clothes are so cute!  You should see Madison and I, when the boxes come rolling in we look through every piece and make girly squeal noises of excitement as we see pieces we love.  We share a passion :) 

I found a new model, well actually my friend Michelle (props girl) told me about her and OMG is she great!  Really … look at her sweet smile and glowy hair 

Man it’s been a fun and exhausting week!  I’m rapping up tons of client orders, doing a heck alot of editing (I’m pasted to my computer chair) and I’ve been super busy with holidays and celebrating friends and family.  I have placed so many holiday card orders this last week, I cannot wait to see them all in person!  I think I need to do a post with pictures of all my awesome client holiday cards … they all picked such great cards.   

I recently got to photograph a super fun family!  They were all so sweet, and the kids were so polite!  Not once did anyone complain, moan or groan and everyone was always happy to gather around each other and play for the camera.  Their little boy was sooooooooo cute, pure sweetness!
