It always feels good to get emails of delight over something you’ve worked so hard on, a simple thank you goes a long way with me.  I get to work with some truly fabulous designers, people I admire and look up to and respect.  One of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with for over 2 years now is Denise from Matilda Jane.  If you haven’t read her blog yet (I highly doubt any of you haven’t) but in any case if you haven’t … you need to!  She’s funny, sincere, open and passionate.  I feel so honored to get to contribute images to her amazing collection.  Every season we bump up the shoot a bit, this year was by far the most fun and exciting.  I can’t wait for everyone to see the entire collection!!  The pieces are AWESOME!!!  I’m sworn to secrecy so that’s all I can divulge    I came home on Friday, rain pouring down and on my doorstep was a gorgeous bouquet of flowers siting waiting for ME  A simple card of thanks from one of the sweetest people I work with … thanks Denise!  The flowers literally engulf the entire room with their fragrance, our living room smells of springtime flowers.   

Madison and Ryanne teamed up awhile back for a fun modeling session.   Ryanne is my mini Madison, or my apprentice as we like to joke.  The two of them together always produce really fun, animated pictures.  Ryanne plays off of Madison, she likes to copy everything Mads does and she does a great job imitating Madison’s moves (especially her dance moves).   I love this line … check it out!!!

Whew am I behind … I should have posted these pictures WEEKS ago!  Thanks to Molly for reminding me of them  I am behind on emails, behind on blogging and REALLY behind on house work … we look like we’re living in a college dorm room LOL   Joe is gone all weekend so hopefully his absence and my boredom will get me spirited to clean this place.   We’ll see :)  

PINK CHICKEN from Dragonflies and Ladybugs 

Recently I got to photograph one of my favorite adult models, she’s such a natural and she has the most beautiful features.  I was dying over the womens Oilily items, kinda made me wish I dressed up more and didn’t live in jeans and a tee  Check out Little Luna Blue and see her entire Womens Collection 

Until recently I wasn’t familiar with the children’s clothing brand Glug, then I received some items from Dragonflies and Ladybugs and got a first hand look at the pieces and loved each and every one of them!  Simple yet super comfy and fun.  I’ve been wanting to shoot my two favorite 3 year old models together for some time and when the chance came I was so excited.  These two girls are soooooooo sweet, their personalities are fun and outgoing and they literally smile and giggle all the time … I nicknamed them the giggle bears :)                  

Anyone who knows me knows I love maternity shoots, I have since the first maternity shoot I ever shot!  There is just something so special about a woman who is carrying a beautiful baby inside her belly.  Hands down … pregnant women are beautiful!   Charlene and her husband were so amazing to work with, so easy going, up for anything and so in love.  Don’t you just love seeing a couple who are pregnant with their first baby?? Charlene was glowing, she was one week from having her little baby boy and looking flawless (yes one week out!).   

I’ve got some new super cute pictures for Little Luna Blue … the new Misha Lulu line she has up is so cute!   This session started off great but ended with poor little Mads on the floor crying her little heart out.  It’s goes without saying … kids, listen to your parents they do know best.  I told Madison to stay right next to me while I was shooting my other model but of course in Madison spirit the second I was preoccupied she darted off.  As she was running over to me she fell face first and hit the ground with her hands and knees, it was loose gravel too so it really hurt.  Thankfully lots of kisses, a band aid (ok many!) and a yummy concoction from the local coffee shop cheered her up.

My first shoot for 2009 was a perfectly happy, mellow and easy going shoot … and I have Monica to thank for that!  I’m still on vacation mode, I’m thinking by next week I’ll shake myself out of it and actually get something done.  Anthony is still home for the winter break, he goes back Monday so it’s been hard to think about work when you have a 10 year old hanging his head over your shoulder every 10 minutes wanting something and you’re being encouraged to come and play, have late lunches and go the park for time with friends … sure makes working hard!
