Rasberry
Filed Under (Commercial, Kids) by Shannon Stewart on 27-04-2009
'); ?>It feels like forever since I last blogged! I have been swamped with work and family stuff, I’ve been a very bad girl and have neglected my email for far too long (so if I owe you an email I’m sorry!!!). I’ve been shooting lots of fun sessions, some really neat ones that I’ll be sharing on MY NEW WEBSITE
Yep, the old is out and the new one is in the works.
I recently shot a super yummy raspberry tart of a girl. She’s so sweet and fun, at the end of the shoot I could hear her yelling “thank you Miss Shannon” as I walked to my car, I even got one last wave as I jumped into my car. I guess cupcakes at the end of a shoot always make a kid happy!

J for Jordan
Filed Under (Family, Kids) by Shannon Stewart on 20-04-2009
'); ?>Jordan showed up to his portrait shoot with a load of awesome boys clothes! Sometimes getting boys outfits that are cool, unique and fun are hard, girls are much more spoiled in the clothing area when it comes to choosing things for them. Not this little guy, his mama picked him up some H&M stuff (which I highly recommend for boys 6 and older) and got him a couple of unique pieces that were perfect just for him.
Jordan was ready to have fun the second he arrived … can you tell??
He even brought along his dog
his gorgeous mommy popped in for a couple

It’s amazing when you get the opportunity to follow a family through milestones such as pregnancy, newborn, toddler and then big kids. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family since the time this little guy was tucked into his mommies tummy. They are such a sweet family, Drew is adored by his mom and dad (and rightfully so!) he’s an angel of a child and a smile maker too. I don’t think I ever truly heard him cry, maybe fuss a bit but never really cry … I think it has to do with his Mommies soft touch, sweet voice and gentle nature.
If you remember correctly Drew’s mom was the one who showed up for her maternity shoot in denim knee high boots and a mini black dress. She’s continued to awe me in her clothing choices since then, she always looks amazing (even after being a new mom) and she’s got flair. Drew showed up in clothes to match his mama’s style, even down to his Ed Hardy tee.

Mini Session Pre-Announcement
Filed Under (Commercial, Kids) by Shannon Stewart on 16-04-2009
'); ?>Hey everyone … hope you all are doing splendid! I’m doing fantastic, I’ve been busy between work and my kids. I realized this week that I welcome busyness, it’s the only explantation on why I insist on running a bazillion errands, juggling lots of commitments and being my kids personal taxi driver. I seem happier when I’m busy … strange. Have I told you yet that Madison is in Tball this year? It’s very exciting, mostly because she’s so excited. She’s watched her brother play for the last 5 years and now it’s her turn. She counts down the days until her next practice. We got her the entire pink baseball gear, including the pink batting helmet with the pony tail cutout! My husband has dubbed her Mad Dog as her sport name (really, he calls her it!). I will be posting pictures once she starts actually playing games.
I will be announcing some spring time mini sessions soon! Expect big news next week (probably at the end of the week). I will only be taking on a limited number of mini sessions so please check back! If you’d like to be on my mailing list and hear about mini sessions and special offers first email me (use the top banner EMAIL ME option).
Madison and Jilly are fierce little models
I’ve been hard at work on a new website. My old site just wasn’t working for me, it didn’t feel like me and it wasn’t user friendly enough so I’ve gone back to the basics and kept it really simple and clean. I’ve been holding out on some new shoots so I can share those images on my new website. I will also be having a special offer to celebrate the new site so keep checking back!!!
I love hats on little boys, they look so adorable and cool at the same time.

'); ?>This week has been a flash, each day we’ve done something fun and eventful. I’m exhausted to say the least, who knew having so much fun could be so tiring. On Monday I started our spring break fun by meeting up with two families down at Crystal Cove beach. If you’ve never been to Crystal Cove beach you should check it out. I had never been and I’m already looking forward to going back. The kids were outfitted with the cutest clothes and they were ready for some fun. I have so many fun pictures from this shoot, I couldn’t decide which ones to share!!
