'); ?>Our awesome neighbors just had a baby girl and one of our favorite neighborhood boys became a big brother. At dinner tonight we asked him how it was having a little sister and his response was “ah it’s ok” LOL Like Joe said, newborns can’t do much at this stage so they aren’t very exciting. This little sweetie is gorgeous, a blondie just like her mommy and she has perfect complexion.

First Family Shoot

'); ?>Now that all my maternity clients have started to have their babies I’ve beginning to meet some of the cutest little kids ever! Just yummy!! This holiday season I’ll get to photograph many first time family shoots with the new addition. It’s exciting to see families forming and all the new additions. This little guy was cracking smiles left and right the second I saw him, which I was surprised about because you usually don’t see that until about 8 months and this big guy was only 4 months old. Of course by the time we got him dressed and ready to go he was more focused on the big black thing in front of my face. He gave me some great eye contact

'); ?>Did you know that I almost named Madison, Brooklynn? It was between Madison, Delaney and Brooklynn … I loved Brooklynn so much and Joe (my meany husband) wouldn’t let us name her it. OK we might have had a puppy named Brooklynn for like a day or something, but that really shouldn’t ruin a name forever! I guess in the end Mads is the perfect Madison. Just so we don’t leave Anthony out, he was almost named Caleb James … looking at him, he would have made an adorable Caleb!
I got to meet the cutest little Brooklyn ever!!! She made the name even that much cuter! OMG she smiled almost the entire time and she had a support group of aunties, grandmas and mommy to help keep her smiling and having a terrific time. She also was a champ about having her clothes changed!

My favorite Age

'); ?>I’ve seen a lot of babies lately, I even think I’m having a small bit of baby blues. I think it’s because Mads is going into Kindergarten and we’re entering a new chapter of our lives. I’m not ready for all this to end, I love the PreK stage. During my visits with my friends who have babies we always talk about our favorite ages and I always proclaim 8-12 months to be my favorite! The personality that comes out of these little angels is unreal and the smiles are enough to warm your heart for a year.
One of my newest baby models during my favorite age:)

'); ?>When my good friend Robbin gave birth to her adorable little guy I was more then insistent she bring him over for his first photo shoot. I ransacked Madison’s closet for baby goodies to use, I don’t shoot a ton of newborns so I don’t have a set supply of items for the shoots. I usually just use whatever my client has at their home. This time I tried to set up a mini “studio” for the shoot and it helped knowing the light ahead of time. We had a fun shoot, I look forward to capturing this little cutie as he gets older.

'); ?>It’s amazing when you get the opportunity to follow a family through milestones such as pregnancy, newborn, toddler and then big kids. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family since the time this little guy was tucked into his mommies tummy. They are such a sweet family, Drew is adored by his mom and dad (and rightfully so!) he’s an angel of a child and a smile maker too. I don’t think I ever truly heard him cry, maybe fuss a bit but never really cry … I think it has to do with his Mommies soft touch, sweet voice and gentle nature.
If you remember correctly Drew’s mom was the one who showed up for her maternity shoot in denim knee high boots and a mini black dress. She’s continued to awe me in her clothing choices since then, she always looks amazing (even after being a new mom) and she’s got flair. Drew showed up in clothes to match his mama’s style, even down to his Ed Hardy tee.
