I’ve been waiting patiently for awhile to photograph this little beauty! She is so sweet and was such a super star during the session, even breaking a couple of sweet smiles out for me. Without further ado here is Peaches …
I bought Madison this tiny dolls bed … it started off this awful gold color (so gross!) so then we picked up a light tiffany blue and painted it, after one pair of ruined jeans and speckles all over our porch we finally had enough paint on the crib to cover up the gross gold … I’ll share a picture of it in color soon but in the meantime here it is in BW

this new bundle of joy brings this family to a whopping 6 count and I hear through the grapevine that there may be more to come!! You might remember Jaki as my uber super hot maternity client that was my labeled “colorful woman” entry … this girl fit the bill to a T. Jaki and Seth welcome a new baby girl into their family, bringing joy and even more color to this already delightful bunch!
One of the things I wanted to capture with the family was a small glimpse into their lives, just a peak of unposed, fun loving couch time
Missing one, typical in family pictures right? LOL

Super short post …
I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Mother’s Day! I’m in for a day of being treated like a Queen, in our family we have a tradition of no gifts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, instead we get a special day of pampering from one another. I love it, I get to choose everything we do today, there are NO chores, usually a nap and some amazing food always! I’ll report back on the day’s festivities!
Until then here is a sneak at a newbie session I just did

This weekend I got together with sweet little Emily to photograph her one year old pictures. When her mom called me she raved about Emily’s sweet personality, she’s quite a special little girl so I was very excited to get to meet her. The moment I met her she was blowing kisses, waving, smiling and engaging everyone around her. Ususally it takes a good 10 minutes for a child to warm up to me and my big ole camera … but not in this case. Here she is at the beginning of our shoot

After some fun running around we headed over to another alley to get some portraits of her … these pictures of her are so dreamy … I’m in love with her big gorgeous eyes!

Here she is … just one month old and full of adorableness!! Scarlett has two of the sweetest parents ever, they are both so warm and sweet!
This session went off without a hitch and I even managed to photograph Scarlett naked with no accidents … that never happens!
I found this cute little knitted hat in Scarlett’s drawer and knew I had to use it

Do you think Kenley is trying to discretley give me a message …
Maybe something on the lines of “take this you big dark round camera thingy, you’re no match for this duo” … ya think ??? It would appear she is even trying to get her newest little cousin Scarlett in on the action!

Here is a teaser of Miss Scarlett … more to come tomorrow!

Both my children have never liked taking naps, which I can’t really understand since a nap is the single best thing during the day! If I could take a nap every singe day I would be a happy girl, like really happy. Madison cringes at the word nap, so at school when they have naptime she usually just lies on her mat with her blankey and passes time while all the other kids are in dream land. Because she has been staying awake consistently for the last 3 weeks we decided to move her over the the non nappers group and OMG what a change it has made. Before she used to resist going to school because of naptime.
Since changing her over to the non nappers group she has been so excited about going to school and always mentions to me how she doesn’t have to take a nap. Who knew a simple change in the schedule would pump up her mood so much, I kinda feel bad making her endure the 3 weeks of lying on the mat! LOL
