Pear Blossom

My friend Sarah is such a hottie, it’s actually unfair to have the body of a 19 year old after you’ve had three kids!  This girl is always done up from head to toe, and is rockin the cutest clothes ever.  She’s adored by all the men in her life and she’s lucky to have three adorable little guys that are crazy about her.  She’s an awesome mom, completely devoted to her kids and giving them everything they need. Her life is crazy, wild and fun … I wanted to capture all those fun things in her family shoot.  

I have an award for the best behaved doggie during a photo shoot!  Jennifer, a Scottish Terrier takes home the prize as being the easiest dog to work with during a photo shoot!  The kids loved her so much, and she loved them back.  Look how photogenic she was … and her owners were pretty darn adorable themselves ;)  

When Jessica and I talked over ideas for her family shoot I knew we were right on the same page, both excited over similar ideas and we were both having so much planning her shoot.  When I arrived Jessica had everything under control, she had picked out the coolest clothes for everyone and the location was amazing!

I recently had a super fun family shoot.  It was a top secret Father’s Day shoot with mom and the kids.  My goal was to create images that were warm, loving and inviting … something dad would look at and treasure.  A man loves to see his beautiful wife with his loving children, just like moms love pictures of their kids with their daddy.  Since Suzanne is a friend I had a slight advantage in nudging her the direction I wanted the shoot to go in.   So instead of playing outside on the swings we went inside and took camp on the family bed.  I’d like to think I captured the fun that this family is.  Each and every one of them is so loving, funny and unique.  

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!  We had a full day of baseball today, so I’m looking forward to relaxing tomorrow over brunch and mimosas.  Joe is trying to talk me into going to see Star Trek (yeah right!) I think he’s forgotten who’s day it is.  Although a nice cool movie theater doesn’t sound terrible I guess.   

I recently had a super fun session with a little girl I photograph every year.  She’s so sweet, full of fun and spunky personality and she’s got the most gorgeous eyes.  Her mom is a super sweety!!!!!  Love them both!

Jordan showed up to his portrait shoot with a load of awesome boys clothes!  Sometimes getting boys outfits that are cool, unique and fun are hard, girls are much more spoiled in the clothing area when it comes to choosing things for them.  Not this little guy, his mama picked him up some H&M stuff (which I highly recommend for boys 6 and older) and got him a couple of unique pieces that were perfect just for him.

This week has been a flash, each day we’ve done something fun and eventful.  I’m exhausted to say the least, who knew having so much fun could be so tiring.  On Monday I started our spring break fun by meeting up with two families down at Crystal Cove beach.  If you’ve never been to Crystal Cove beach you should check it out.  I had never been and I’m already looking forward to going back.  The kids were outfitted with the cutest clothes and they were ready for some fun.  I have so many fun pictures from this shoot, I couldn’t decide which ones to share!!   

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting a super sweet family with not one 4 month old but two!  A boy and a girl … how perfect!  Here’s a sneak at their session

Man it’s been a fun and exhausting week!  I’m rapping up tons of client orders, doing a heck alot of editing (I’m pasted to my computer chair) and I’ve been super busy with holidays and celebrating friends and family.  I have placed so many holiday card orders this last week, I cannot wait to see them all in person!  I think I need to do a post with pictures of all my awesome client holiday cards … they all picked such great cards.   

I recently got to photograph a super fun family!  They were all so sweet, and the kids were so polite!  Not once did anyone complain, moan or groan and everyone was always happy to gather around each other and play for the camera.  Their little boy was sooooooooo cute, pure sweetness!   

It’s always fun to photograph families that you already know or have a history with.  I’ve had such an awesome time photographing sweet little K for multiple photo sessions for various clothing lines, she’s always a huge hit and gets requested quite a bit.  When her mom approached me about doing a family session with Miss K I was more then excited … they are both such fun and loving girls so I knew we’d have a terrific time and walk away with some killer images.  We did!     

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  My family and I had such a wonderful time, it was a late night :)
