For Matilda Jane’s new West Side collection I had the awesome opportunity to shoot at a spectacular home, it’s so amazing, a little modern, a little 70’s and a little shabby. This owner has exceptional taste!
This little cutie started the day off on a perfect note
Ohh and I almost forgot to add the rest of Mad’s pictures … the sneak from my previous post!

Alrighty guys, Denise gave me the green light to start sharing photos from her new collection WEST SIDE. It’s an incredible line, the pieces are totally different then in the past and the fabric combos are super cool.
My favorite dress from the collection
and one sneak for tomorrow :)

I guarantee the first thing he is going to ask me when he’s sees this cover is “so do I get money for this” LOL As Madison has gotten older I’ve rewarded her modeling efforts with a small token, a dollar, sometimes $5 dollars, a trip to get ice cream … etc … something to make her really excited and reward her for all her hard work. Lets be honest, she does work hard, she has to bathe, wash her hair, get ready and do a full photo session for every outfit we model. Anthony would like me to pay him for every click of the camera I take of him … I think I even paid up $5 for this birthday shoot!
We are featured in the current edition of Kids Trend Weekly … such an honor!

During the summer I let Madison pretty much brush and wash her own hair … washing of course means lying in the tub with a tiny bit of bubbles on her hair and proclaiming it squeaky clean. She brushes until she hits a tangle and then moves on, so basically all the ends of her hair are a tangly mess … and the cycle repeats every day. I don’t really care though, during the summer she’s doing so much swimming and playing that her hair is going to get tangled and wild regardless. I was quite surprised when she asked me to wash her hair one afternoon, we shampooed and conditioned until it felt silky smooth. After a quick brush she let me blow dry it for her, the end result was silky, soft, gorgeous long locks … I hadn’t even noticed how long her hair had gotten because it’s usually a tangly mess!
In spirit of her “fancy” hair she got all dressed up and we went out for a fun 20 minute photo session.

I had the supreme pleasure of photographing the Roah family, my first family since being back from vacation! I was so honored and excited to be asked by a fellow photographer, Lisa is the sweetest thing EVER … and to boot she’s got three lucky guys who love her insanely! I have to say, this shoot was so much fun, maybe it was the fact that Lisa herself is a photographer, maybe it’s that she came with no expectations and gave me free range, or that they are the happiest family … or maybe it’s the common love we both have for Houston’s … whatever the case may be we hit it off and went running like wild monkeys!
When I was going through her images one major component kept jumping out to me … the entire family connected so well, loved each other so much and really allowed me to capture their moments. Thanks Lisa and Mark … and the boys … you guys were the best! HUGE props go out to Mark for being such an awesome husband, he was so happy for Lisa to have this shoot (since she’s normally behind the camera) and he was a total trooper the entire time!

So my friend Jaki gave me the cutest little writing journal, she wrapped it in this really cool multi color satin wrap … it looked beautiful! Anthony practices baseball 3 times a week and then a game once a week, so we spend 4 nights a week with all the other parents and in turn all the younger siblings get to hang out as well. Madison has made a very special friend over the season, they’ve gotten to be very close and it gives Madison something to be excited about when we go to the practices/games. I decided to bring along my camera to take some pictures of the two girls.
OK back to the satin wrap (see I came full swing) I used it for pictures the day I got it
Thanks Jaki!!!
I love this hair style for girls … love it!
and them my little Mads … can you see why it’s so hard to say no to her, look at those eyes and that sweet smile … this is the EXACT look I get every time we go to Target and we pass by the kids clothes.

So this dress just keeps popping up! I plan on using it one more time, I would love to slice and dice it some more and use it on a teenage girl (someone with some spunk) so if you know of anyone that is super skinny (it’s a size 2) have them email me! I originally bought this dress off of ebay for $24 dollars, it was super scary looking with long lace arms on it and a neckline that was really tall. I could see the potential in it, I knew with a little cutting it could be something super killer! After some snips and tucks it really came together, of course having someone like Nancy to model for you really does help make the dress look dynamite! After our shoot I just hung it up, not ready to get rid of it, so when the concept for Carlin came to light I was really excited to bring out the dress … after some more snips and tucks (well a lot!) it was ready for a pint sized model!
