I suck! I said I’d keep the good ole blog updated and then I went and fell off the side of earth. I really need to get back into my blogging habits! Since facebook came around it’s so much easier to post on my facebook fanpage … but then you wonder … is anyone even looking at it?? LOL Who knows, but in any case I need to keep the blog updated or it becomes so boring. I don’t want to be boring!!
I purchased this pale pink dress from ebay, it’s a vintage little girls dress and I loved the look. The second Madison put it on I had a vision of a fantasy shoot. Then one day Madison was holding a piece of cabbage on a stick (for our chickens) and it looked just like a giant lolli pop and it all hit me! So with an addiiton of a friends green chair we came up with this

If anyone would like to take over this dress let me know! I’m selling the dress and hat for what I paid on ebay. The total cost with shipping for the dress is $20 and the hat is an add on for $6.
Measurements: Bust 32″ Waist 20″ stretches to 26″ Hips full Bodice Length 12″ Skirt Length 17 1/4 “

I’ve been itching to do a mini photo project just for myself, something to express myself and let my creativeness go wild. It all just kinda came together, I tried not to over think a single piece to the collection and while I’m not completely done I am happy with the first two shoots that were captured so far. Thanks to Madison and Kailee for being such awesome models and allowing me to dress them up like little dolls.

I decided to do a post with no rhyme or reason … so here you go.
I can’t remember if I ever posted about our new family members, we recently adopted 4 chickens. They are so cute and the kids love them. Thankfully they are super fast and leave our dogs in the dust. We recently had to give away two of our chickens because they turned out to be males. Los Angeles City does not permit Roosters (because of the loud factor) so we had to give up these two Brahma Chickens. Here they are on their way to their new home and below is a picture of one of them at only 4 weeks old.

Clover acts like their mom

Madison, Mimi and I went and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was very cute.

Joe got me a polaroid camera for Christmas … he even let me open it early so I could snap pictures of all our friends and family … sweet!!!

we went to disneyland

the last thing I really need is more pictures of Madison. Honestly, the child must have 20,000 pictures on our computer. It’s insane. I just can’t help but not photograph her all the time, she’s my own personal muse and the fact that she loves clothes so much makes it that much easier to click away. We had some time to spare before we had to pick up Clover from the groomers so we decided to play “dress up” and shoot some pictures. It’s a location I had never used before and the lighting was incredible! Both outfits are made by Paper Wings.

How does the baby in our family become six so quickly? With Madison being our youngest I have really held onto these toddler years for as long as possible. When my son was this age I remember having the feeling of “I cant’ wait until he …” always looking forward to the next stage, but with Madison I’ve always been perfectly content with the stage we’re at and I’ve never wanted to rush a single day.
Madison turning 6 was a great milestone, she started kindergarten, grew two shoe sizes (which she had never done), played soccer for the first time, played basketball and adopted a baby chick. On each of our birthdays we take a minute at dinner to share with the Birthday girl/boy something special we think of them and we all take a turn. It’s so cute to do it to kids because they feel so good about themselves while you do it. Some of the great things we shared … she has the most beautiful smile, her gorgeous freckles, her singing and dancing talents, her sense of humor, her stylish attitude and best of all … her huge heart! She’s a sweetie and we adore her!!!
Since she turned 6 she got to choose her birthday picture theme and this year it was GLAMOUROUS. She wanted to feel fancy and pretty. Easy enough!

the only word that comes to mind when I see these pictures are … butter nubers

I found my dream coat for the season! Madison looks so yummy in this coat and it’s so warm, so cozy and the hood is gorgeous! I believe (like shoes) you should always buy at least one rockin jacket per season, a splurge if you will. Anthony’s jacket this year came from Abercrombie and it was not cheap, I won’t drop the digits because I don’t want my hubby to faint but I felt like it was an investment … it will last him all season.
So this year we got our coat from Robyn over at Dragonflies and Ladybugs. It’s Deux Par Deux and worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every morning is an issue on what she is going to wear, I let her pick it out too but she changes her mind 50 times in the morning. It’s crazy, if she doesn’t do something with clothes when she gets older I’ll be shocked … it’s an obsession. These are direct sales, email me what you want and I will invoice you through paypal. All these pieces are marked down to 50% off, these are all FALL 2009.
THESE ARE ALL BRAND NEW! Flat fee of $5 for shipping (no matter how many you order)

While at Anthony’s last baseball practice Madison and I decided to have some fun with a few clothing pieces that we grabbed as we ran out the door. Madison enjoys “dressing” up for pictures, so as long as I have accessories and fun things to play with she’s always on board to take pictures. She loves to pretend she’s super fancy. If you know Madison then you know she has her own distinctive way of styling her own shots, she loves to pose herself and act out things while you shoot her. She’s comical and entertaining!!
Always fun to shoot my baby
Apparently she has her own gangsta peace sign thing going on

I’ve been going through all my stuff and getting rid of tons … I have an entire box of shoes to sell! It feels so good to be letting stuff go, my house was starting to get uber cluttered!
Instead of selling this on ebay I thought I’d offer it here on my blog. I love this dress!!!!!!!!
