Something Old, Something New

So this dress just keeps popping up!  I plan on using it one more time, I would love to slice and dice it some more and use it on a teenage girl (someone with some spunk) so if you know of anyone that is super skinny (it’s a size 2) have them email me!  I originally bought this dress off of ebay for $24 dollars, it was super scary looking with long lace arms on it and a neckline that was really tall.  I could see the potential in it, I knew with a little cutting it could be something super killer!  After some snips and tucks it really came together, of course having someone like Nancy to model for you really does help make the dress look dynamite!   After our shoot I just hung it up, not ready to get rid of it, so when the concept for Carlin came to light I was really excited to bring out the dress … after some more snips and tucks (well a lot!) it was ready for a pint sized model!

Well they did it, Dharinne and Walt shared an amazing day and were surrounded by friends and family as they exchanged wedding vows.  I was so fortunate to have Kristin fly in for the wedding, she literally landed at 2, we headed straight for the wedding, and then she was back to the airport at 8am the next day!   We had such a good time together, she’s an amazing photographer and I feel so lucky to have had her join me.

Aren’t these the sweetest looking flower girls?!?!

Dharinne’s dad had the best toast, it was sweet, funny and so loving … here she is giggling as he teased her about all her animals (7 cats, 5 dogs)

I was so honored to be apart of such a wonderful event this weekend, Miranda and Brendon tied the knot at a gorgeous seaside home in Carpinteria … they were joined by the people closest to them and it was a heart felt day filled with many tears and lots of laughs!

This was the first glimpse of Miranda at the beginning of the ceremony  osteen-153c.jpg

During the ceremony the sun was playing hide and go seek, there was 40% chance of showers and thankfully not a sprinkle dropped during the wedding!    osteen-217c.jpg

I didn’t have an official assistant for this wedding but I did score a helpful little sister who happened to love photography … check her out with her camera around her neck!   She was so excited to shoot Brendon and Miranda … what a great little sis! osteen-255c.jpg

While at the wedding I was admiring all the family pictures that were displayed around the house, I was loving the 70’s era images, the tones and the feel is so awesome … so I was inspired! osteen-305c.jpg   Thanks guys for letting me be apart of such a special day!
