I guarantee the first thing he is going to ask me when he’s sees this cover is “so do I get money for this” LOL As Madison has gotten older I’ve rewarded her modeling efforts with a small token, a dollar, sometimes $5 dollars, a trip to get ice cream … etc … something to make her really excited and reward her for all her hard work. Lets be honest, she does work hard, she has to bathe, wash her hair, get ready and do a full photo session for every outfit we model. Anthony would like me to pay him for every click of the camera I take of him … I think I even paid up $5 for this birthday shoot!
We are featured in the current edition of Kids Trend Weekly … such an honor!

You know that when an outfit arrives that requires glitter, glam and sassy attitudes Madison is going to be all over it!! Madison is very particular about what she will wear, clothes seem to make your mood and when she’s wearing clothes she doesn’t love it comes across (even when I try hard to make it better) but on the other hand … when she puts on an outfit she loves, it comes through … she dances, sings, twirls and is she acts like she is worth a million bucks!
OK I totally forgot to link toPaper Lili … go check out the site and indulge in a new little set for your girl!
She rocked it I was just there to click the camera

This last weekend I had such a fun time photographing sweet little Hailey and Kaitlyn, both girls are so sweet and adorable! Tiny Sprouts has launched some new items and they are gearing up for the Holiday Season. Speaking of Holiday Season … I’ve got some fun announcements to make next week, I’ve been working on some really great promotions and ideas for the next couple of months. Check back next week!
Oh and on a totally side note, I made the idiotic idea of telling Madison we would handmake her mermaid costume for Halloween … really how lame am I?? I don’t sew and I quickly realized that my glue gun cannot work on everything (unless you want it to look like a 4 year old did it) and now she’s all pumped about making one! I hate the store bought mermaid costumes they offer and buying a boutique one seems like too much. We made our first attempt on Tuesday and WOW was it scary! LOL I’m going to give it one more shot and then after that I might just have to fold and buy one.

Gosh I have only one thought when I think of 42 inches … don’t you??? Of course I’m talking about the height restrictions at Disneyland Madison has finally made it, and I mean just by her little itty bitty pony tail! LOL I have to say that Madison was a bit reluctant to go on Splash Mountain but after some daddy love she went for it and oh man did she have fun and she was so proud of herself. Now Grizzly Rapids over at CA Adventures was another story and she almost cried when we got on but she toughed it out and had a “sorta good time” however her first words afterwords were “I don’t want to ride that a second time” … can’t blame her, we got drenched!
We went the day after Labor Day and it was awesome, short lines, no crowds and the weather was pretty nice (a little hot but not disgusting).
he really is this nice, he carries my bag and pushes strollers!
Madison took over the camera
Doesn’t every kid take pictures of their own shoes??? LOL

I’m so beyond stoked over the new bedding we just received!! I ordered a gorgeous quilt from Stephanie, she sells awesome stuff on Etsy and I couldn’t be happier with my new bedding … OK well not MY new bedding, but Madison’s new bedding.
We recently bought this bed at Pottery Barn and I instantly fell in love with it’s unique color and charm. I was having such a hard time finding the perfect bedding to match it, everything I tried just looked bland and boring so I decided to up our color palette and bring in some bright pinks and rich reds. The whole room is still a work in progress but as a beginning start I think we’re on the right path! (sheets from pottery barn)

During the summer I let Madison pretty much brush and wash her own hair … washing of course means lying in the tub with a tiny bit of bubbles on her hair and proclaiming it squeaky clean. She brushes until she hits a tangle and then moves on, so basically all the ends of her hair are a tangly mess … and the cycle repeats every day. I don’t really care though, during the summer she’s doing so much swimming and playing that her hair is going to get tangled and wild regardless. I was quite surprised when she asked me to wash her hair one afternoon, we shampooed and conditioned until it felt silky smooth. After a quick brush she let me blow dry it for her, the end result was silky, soft, gorgeous long locks … I hadn’t even noticed how long her hair had gotten because it’s usually a tangly mess!
In spirit of her “fancy” hair she got all dressed up and we went out for a fun 20 minute photo session.

I had the supreme pleasure of photographing the Roah family, my first family since being back from vacation! I was so honored and excited to be asked by a fellow photographer, Lisa is the sweetest thing EVER … and to boot she’s got three lucky guys who love her insanely! I have to say, this shoot was so much fun, maybe it was the fact that Lisa herself is a photographer, maybe it’s that she came with no expectations and gave me free range, or that they are the happiest family … or maybe it’s the common love we both have for Houston’s … whatever the case may be we hit it off and went running like wild monkeys!
When I was going through her images one major component kept jumping out to me … the entire family connected so well, loved each other so much and really allowed me to capture their moments. Thanks Lisa and Mark … and the boys … you guys were the best! HUGE props go out to Mark for being such an awesome husband, he was so happy for Lisa to have this shoot (since she’s normally behind the camera) and he was a total trooper the entire time!

Ok so I rarely brag about my little guy … but this I got to brag about! Our last basketball game was a nail biter, tons of screaming and roaring in the stands and some really great basketball on the court! With only 0.2 SECONDS left on the buzzer Anthony made the last shot to end the game and OMG was it exciting!! He’s number 4 … blonde boy who grabs the ball at the last second to lob it into the basket. So proud!!

I rarely travel this much and even though I’ve only made small trips in the last month I still feel like a total jet setter … you know … living out of your suitcase and all, up til the wee hours of the night! I guess I’m just a party animal Summer is just about over and I’m really excited we had the opportunity to do one last little trip before the kids head back to school
We met up with family down in San Diego, did some La Jolla sight seeing, had a family BBQ, ate at the Olive Tree and then hit up a Padres game … fun! My kids are both crazy about their uncles, since we don’t get to see them that often it’s always very exciting when they do … they both love all the attention they get from them!
Madison went on a sea shell raid, she wanted to bring back 3 times this amount, I made her pick only the best of the best. I think I might try and make some kind of wall decor with them … ideas??
