This year I’m celebrating a special dad.

I’m looking for someone who is deserving of a special gift.  I’m asking you to nominate your favorite deserving dad, please write a small snippet on why this dad deserves a special fathers day gift.  This year I will be giving away one shoot for fathers day.  The session will include a beautiful album featuring all the gorgeous pictures.Important information!  

The submission timeframe is 6/8- 6/10 (not too long!) and the shoot will take place on either Sunday, June 13th or Monday, June 14th.  This will ensure you receive your gift before Father’s Day.I will not be judging this, as always i like my contests to be fair and I often have people that I personally know entering into contests and special offers so I always use a third party.  This year I will be using a friend who is completely unbiased, she will be the only one to read all the submissions … I will only read the final choice made by her.

I’ve been meaning to blog this session forever!  I always think about it and then when it comes time to actually do it I’m caught up doing something else.  This was one of my favorite sessions, not only did I love the styling of the clothes on little B but I also just adored my little subject.  We had a lot of fun in the freezing cold, we danced around and made funny noises so we could forget how cold we really were.  Everything awesome about B comes out in these pictures, her sweet smile, soft demeanor and her playful attitude.

I’ve never seen a child look so dang angelic and gorgeous in the color blue.  She looks absolutely dreamy!!

I’ve been such a terrible blogger!  It’s just so hard to make time to blog when I’m busy.  I finally made myself stay up late tonight just so I could update the blog and get some new stuff out there.  I have had such fun photo sessions and I can’t wait to share them.

My first family up is all the way from Tennessee!  I had the pleasure of photographing them last year as well, lucky me!  Mandy is the sweetest thing possible and her family is equally fun and adorable. I’ve known Mandy for years, we go back to the old ebay days when I was selling hair flowers (when Madison was a wee little baby).  It’s fun to have stayed in touch and get to even meet each other.   I hear they might be going to disneyworld next year so I knew I had to blow this shoot out of the water for them.

I’s so behind I’m lost, I have no idea what I’ve blogged, what I haven’t and whats been shared on facebook.  My procrastination has caught up with me and has left me feeling out of sorts.  Since I have been so terrible at keeping up with my blog I’m going to blog a sneak peek to a shoot I did today (this way I can’t forget LOL).  BTW, I got this shirt in the boys section at Target!

When I found out Nancy was pregnant I was so excited, selfishly I could not wait to photograph her!  I even scored ebay looking for dresses and coming up with a concept.  Things were planned and then last minute I took a completely different turn and I’m so happy I did … the style and color of the images is perfect for Nancy … they are warm, magical, nurturing, welcoming and breathtaking … everything that she encompasses.  Love this girl!

I suck!  I said I’d keep the good ole blog updated and then I went and fell off the side of earth.  I really need to get back into my blogging habits!  Since facebook came around it’s so much easier to post on my facebook fanpage … but then you wonder … is anyone even looking at it??  LOL  Who knows, but in any case I need to keep the blog updated or it becomes so boring.  I don’t want to be boring!!

I purchased this pale pink dress from ebay, it’s a vintage little girls dress and I loved the look.  The second Madison put it on I had a vision of a fantasy shoot.  Then one day Madison was holding a piece of cabbage on a stick (for our chickens) and it looked just like a giant lolli pop and it all hit me!  So with an addiiton of a friends green chair we came up with this

If anyone would like to take over this dress let me know!  I’m selling the dress and hat for what I paid on ebay.  The total cost with shipping for the dress is $20 and the hat is an add on for $6.

I’ve got so much to share!  Lately I’ve been posting pictures on facebook because it’s so much easier and less time consuming.  My wordpress blog takes FOREVER to upload a single picture, it’s so irritating and pushes my patience every time I blog.  I may take some time tomorrow to list a ton of blog posts (spacing them by a day or two) that way I have something to share without the daily work!

Here’s a gorgeous family I recently photographed … loved the colors!

I met the funniest group of ladies last week!  It was a ball, I shot for three hours straight and the entire time we kept the mood up and the kids pumped.  Some were happier then others, but all in all I think we had a very successful shoot.  Beth was an amazing hostess, treating her guests to yummy snacks and hot coffee … and her home was awesome!!  Both Beth and I were on the same page as far as styling went for the shoot, she had amazing clothes on hand (I wish we were best buds so I could pick through her daughters closet) and of course we had a lot of fun kids with spunky attitudes.
